Sumuru was originally created for an eight part radio serial on the B.B.C. Rohmer rewrote the serial as a novel titled The Sins of Sumuru. There are nine titles, but only five novels. The Fawcett Gold Medal paperbacks are the true first editions. Book 1

Sumuru, or Sax Rohmer's Sumuru, is a 2003 pulp science fiction film directed by Darrell Roodt and starring Alexandra Kamp and Michael Shanks. It is an update of the character Sumuru created by pulp novelist Sax Rohmer. Story. Earth's outermost colony was forgotten for 900 years -- until now.

Sax Rohmer is best-known as the creator of Fu Manchu, but he also wrote a series of pot-boilers about another diabolical criminal mastermind, Sumuru. Rohmer’s work is interesting for what it tells us about the bizarre fears of conservatives, fears that haven’t really changed all that much since his time.

Sax Rohmer author of the classic Yellow Peril novels featuring Fu Manchu, in the late forties created the character of Sunuru, a femme fatale/dragon lady hell bent on world domination and male enslavement.

Sax Rohmer is best-known as the creator of Fu Manchu, but he also wrote a series of pot-boilers about another diabolical criminal mastermind, Sumuru.
